The X-GLP-E Series are computer-controlled electric grippers with a motor-mounted encoder. The grippers have a 40 mm travel range, and are able to grip and measure multi-sized objects without programming. Grippers will maintain grip even if power is lost. Devices include removable finger blanks.
The built-in controller allows both data and power to daisy-chain with other X-Series devices. The integrated motor encoder allows for closed-loop operation and position feedback, able to detect when the fingers have gripped an object and providing feedback about the object’s size. The indexed knob provides manual control at variable speeds in both directions without a computer. Pressing and holding the knob switches between velocity and distance modes, turning the knob moves the grippers’ fingers, and pressing the knob stops all motion.
