In-Situ SEM and Raman Investigations on Graphene

Comparison of graphene, graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide

19 Sept 2017

Graphene is a one atom thick layer of carbon atoms. It can be modified by means of functionalization and oxidation. The properties and interactions of graphene depend on the functionalization of the structure. The controlled modification of graphene is a challenge that needs evaluation with SEM as well as Raman spectroscopy. This application note describes the characterization of graphene using in-situ Raman and SEM and also evaluates the merits of using these analytical techniques.
