Self-Association of Insulin Quantified by CG-MALS
27 Jun 2017In this application note, we quantify the self-association of insulin at neutral pH in the absence of Zn2+ using composition-gradient multi-angle light scattering (CG-MALS). The increase in weight-average molar mass as a function of concentration is fit to an appropriate association model to yield the ab-solute stoichiometry and affinity of the interactions. In this article CG-MALS, automated by Wyatt equipment, enables rapid, reproducible, label-free quantification of biomolecular self-association of insulin monomers.
