Application Area:

Neuroscience

Roche cOmplete, EDTA-free protease inhibitors are easy to use. However, If I make less than 5 or 10ml of lysis buffer I have to cut the tablet, so it would be useful if they were available in a smaller concentration as well.

Product Description

Starting concentration: 1 tablet contains protease inhibitors sufficient for a 50-ml cell extract.
Specificity: Mixture of several protease inhibitors. For the inhibition of serine, cysteine, but not metalloproteases.
Solubility/Stability: Soluble in aqueous buffers, or add directly to extraction media. Alternatively, prepare 25x stock solutions in 2 ml water or 100 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.0. Stock solution is stable for 1-2 weeks at +2 to +8°C or at least 12 weeks at -15 to -25°C. Can be used in thiol-containing solutions at room temperature.
Note: Inhibition efficiency is quickly and sensitively tested with the Universal Protease Substrate (Cat. Nos. 11 080 733 001 or 11 734 334 001).
