Immobilized polysaccharide CSPs
CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES offers an expanded line of immobilized polysaccharide chiral stationary phases (CSPs), CHIRALPAK IA™, IB™, and IC™. These immobilized CSPs allow the use of a highly extended range of solvents and offer new separation selectivities relative to conventionally coated CSPs. All three
are based on high-efficiency 5-µm diameter spherical silica (or 20-µm for scale-up to semi-preparative and preparative applications) and are extremely stable to a broad range of mobile phases and diluents. Immobilized CSPs are available in a wide range of column dimensions.
CHIRALPAK IA utilizes the same chiral polymer as CHIRALPAK AD® while IB is similar to CHIRALCEL OD. CHIRALPAK IC has a unique chiral selector, based on the 3,5-dichlorophenylcarbamate of cellulose, immobilized on 5-µm silica.
The newest additions to the product line are CHIRALPAK IA-3, IB-3, IC-3, 3-µm versions of IA, IB, and IC chiral phases. These columns are intended for high-speed, high-efficiency separations of enantiomers and offer the same selectivity and stability characteristics as those of its current 5-µm immobilized counterparts. The new CHIRALPAK IA-3, CHIRALPAK IB-3, and CHIRALPAK
IC-3 columns exhibit stability to pressure drops up to 400 bar. Such high column stability is one of the most important attributes of fast chromatography, since it ensures efficient column operation over an extended period of time.
