Overall a good detector for SEC-MALS and relatively simple to set up to use.
Analyze protein samples using SEC-MALS (size exclusion chromatography multi-angle light scattering)
The instrument is relatively simple to use, but the front panel interface at times makes it difficult to select the correct touch screen button, as the screen size is small and you need to be precise in touching the small buttons. An attached stylus would be nice to make it easier to make the selections you need.

Determine Mw of samples after UHPLC separation
Advances in UHPLC technology have greatly reduced run times, sample loading requirements, and solvent consumption. The µDAWN seamlessly integrates downstream from our Agilent 1290 UHPLC for accurate measurements of Mw, Rz and Rh values, giving us a deeper look into our sample beyond just the UV chromatogram. It is just as easy to use as our other Wyatt MALS detectors and is used almost daily.

The microDAWN™ is the only multi-angle light scattering (MALS) detector that can be coupled to any UHPLC-SEC system without loss of resolution. UHP-SEC-MALS determines absolute molecular weight, size and conformation of polymers, peptides, and proteins directly, without resorting to column calibration or reference standards.

- Sensitivity: 3.5 ng of 100 kDa polystyrene in THF or 70 ng of BSA in PBS, loaded on a 4.6 x 150 mm UHPLC-SEC column.
