μStat-i 400s Potentiostat/Galvanostat/Impedance Analyzer (EIS)

The system is extremely good for electrochemistry and especially for those developing electrochemical sensors and it is also very sensitive. The only major issue I have is the DropView 8400 software. I find it not to be too overly user-friendly. Having used the latest Nova software, I would say the Nova software is a much better software than the DropView. Sometimes you have to click multiple times before an item responds. I would have preferred an automated baseline correction interface like the Nova software. Manual baseline correction is not very accurate and sometimes difficult to do especially if the peak from a DPV or SWV plot is weak. The EIS is very sensitive and with some few tweaks can be made to run much faster. It is worth the money for my research group on the long run and has been extremely valuable.

The system is easy-to-use, and it gives very sensible results. The software is very useful, even if in some parts it is cumbersome to use. As regards the after-sale care, we have some problems with three batches of gold scree printed electrodes, and the procedure for requesting a return or exchange of the batches took a lot of time (about 6 months). The value for money is pretty good, affordable for a scientific lab.
