Cell-based functional characterization
If you are trying to get a quick answer to find out whether your molecules are functional, the transient TCR activator expression kits that BPS offer are great alternative to stable cell lines which can be very costly and/or time consuming to generate. The kit I have purchased included expression vectors that were plenty to perform transient transfection and then perform a functional assay with a reporter cell line to screen a handful of molecules within 2 days.

The recombinant expression vectors are designed to express human-engineered T cell receptor (TCR) activator and human PD-L2 (GenBank Accession #NM_025239) in mammalian cells. The transfected cells can be used in conjunction with PD-1/NFAT Reporter/Jurkat T cells (BPS #60535) to study the interactions of PD-1 with PD-L2 ligand in a cellular context and screen for modulators of this signaling pathway.
