DNA sequence verification of cloning results
Really fast and accurate results. Input primers into web portal and they are made before the DNA samples arrive. Send DNA overnight and they somehow arrive at 3 or 4 am and get into the system immediately. Data is returned within 24 hours of sending samples off. Webpage data entry needs to be updated. It is a bit clunky if you are entering primers to me made and samples for sequencing.

Sequencing a gene in our mutant DNA results from cloning assays
For 15 ul of product, Eurofins has the capability to run the sample using the forward primer and the reverse primer, and you don't even have to separate the sample into multiple wells for testing. They also purify the sample first, then run it with the forward primer, followed by the reverse primer, so you can always get a good picture of the genotype. This makes it so much easier for our teaching labs!

Abysmal delivery time. a far cry from the timetable they commit to.
DNA sequencing
Sequencing quality is OK, but delivery time is a disgrace. They advertise day-after-next delivery for non nightrun express samples. Sample pickup time at my institute is advertised as 15:40. The reality: I deposit my samples just before 15:00 on Wednesday, so should have the sequences on Friday, right? Wrong! Monday night of the following week at 20:00 -- still no sequences. Assuming I get my results Tuesday (still an unknown) that is at least a whole week right there, for simple Sanger sequencing on plasmid DNA! The Issue: They tweeted a rave review by a happy customer about their spectacular delivery time. Don't you believe it!
