Particle size measurement of minerals
I have been using Sedigraph Particle size analyzer for five to six years. It’s a good machine with better repeatability for fine particle size range measurement using sedimentation principle. The maintenance for the machine is a must, the tubing, cell windows etc. need to be replaced for continuous use. Also power supply part of the machine was replaced because of internal communication problems. The after sales support in India is good. Expecting the next version of the machine to be very advanced and current problems to be addressed and software should have many more options. Since measurement principle is different than laser technique, results of this X-ray technique cannot be compared to results of laser machine.
