Cogent Bidentate C18™ HPLC Columns are manufactured with TYPE-C™ silica (silica hydride) and a straight chain C18 hydrocarbon bonded directly to the Silica Hydride surface with two separate points of attachment. The manufacturing of the Silica makes these columns virtually indestructible.

The Cogent Bidentate C18™ Columns is the most stable and efficient C18 column on the market. These columns can be used in Reversed Phase, Normal Phase, or Aqueous Normal Phase (ANP) HPLC or LCMS.

This is not a typical C18 column, and it can produce unique selectivity and retain compounds that normally do not retain on other C18 columns made with standard silica. The hydrophobic 4um, particle and two points of attachment with direct silicon-carbon bonds, makes this column very hydrophobic yet it can retain some hydrophilic compounds as well if desired. You can use it with 100% aqueous mobile phase and not have retention loss of your analytes. This column can also be used at very low pH (below 2) with no damage to the column.
