Equipment is easy to use and does the job we needed it for, however the service and validation of the product was disappointing and unfortunately the experience was not well received by the team working alongside the service engineer. Communication was not great, lack of preparation and I received the wrong paperwork which was only discovered on the day of validation on site.

Alkalinity titration
We used for the determination of total alkalinity by acid-base potentiometric titration method described by Dickson et al. (2003) and Hernandez-Ayon et al., (1999). We pre-conditioned the equipment by performing seawater measurements to condition the pH electrode and calibrated the electrode with the standard of seawater buffers and we have excellent results

Titrate solutions and suspensions
I am abusing the setup for my own applications and find it easy to operate. It is possible to generate macros that allow reproducible conditions. The pH electrode I use with it was also from Metrohm and is very stable and reliable. I have been adjusting the set-up somewhat to make it more suitable for my purposes. The software and data output also need some adjustment, but in the end, I can get everything I want. I find the Value for Money a bit too low. From my point of view, this could be somewhat cheaper, but anyway, it is robust and stable and I have been using it for years now. I guess I would buy it one more time.

STAT titration
The determination of the activity of an enzyme or the monitoring of the release kinetics of antacid drugs requires a titrator that rapidly adjusts a predefined pH value and keeps it constant over a long time period. The 902 Titrando's controller has been optimized for this task and is among the best available on the market.
Tandem dosing is a new feature offered by the 902 Titrando. To avoid a break in dosing when the buret is refilled, a second buret takes over the dosing operation without any interruption. This means that fast reactions and those that have a high reagent consumption can be monitored without any loss of accuracy.
Controlled dosing
The tasks to be performed in the synthesis laboratory differ from those in titration. Typical synthesis work involves maintaining constant a pH value or performing a multiple dosing operation under strictly defined conditions: A preset volume has to be added to a solution during a given time span. During the controlled dosing procedure, the parameters pH (or potential) and temperature are continuously monitored and registered. This results in a complete documentation of the synthesis sequence.
Dosing can also be carried out continuously in the tandem mode with two Dosinos.
Compatible with all existing sensors
Despite its new digital measuring interface and intelligent sensors, the Titrando with combined analogue and digital measuring amplifier also supports conventional sensors. This consists of one high-impedance and one polarised measuring input, a separate reference input and an input for a Pt 1000 or NTC temperature sensor. The resolution of the inputs is 0.1 mV or 0.001 pH. Up to two galvanically separated measuring interfaces can be installed.
A new feature of the 902 Titrando is its ability to perform control tasks. External instruments can be controlled by means of freely programmable TTL signals or by communication via RS 232 interface. This opens up the possibility of remotely controlling external heating or cooling apparatus, pumps or similar devices.
