Al principio cuesta un poco elegir la temperatura de ensayo y peso idóneo de muestreo para nuestro rango de trabajo, pero una vez configurado el equipo el manejo es super rápido. Si las muestras son susceptibles de tener un alto contenido en agua el tiempo de ensayo es muy alto, para contenidos en agua en torno a 500 ppm a 140ºC el tiempo se ensayo es de unos 30 min aprox. Una vez finalizada la medida el equipo te avisa con un sonido, es muy práctico, porque puedes hacer otras actividades mientras el equipo está midiendo. Easy-to-use and intuitive equipment. We achieve reliable, repetitive and reproducible results, tested with reference material. At first it is a bit difficult to choose the ideal test temperature and sampling weight for our working range, but once the equipment is configured, the handling is super fast. If the samples are likely to have a high water content the test time is very high, for water contents around 500 ppm at 140ºC the test time is about 30 min. Once the measurement is finished, the equipment warns you with a sound, it is very practical, because you can do other activities while the equipment is measuring.

KF coulometer is easy to use in daily routine, space saving because it works without PC and high quality for less money in compare with others just having problem with connecting the scale via USB easy to learning for new user .Hardware is also good material.

Measuring water content in a variety of samples
The equipment is easy to use and sample prep does not take up too much time, however the variety of issues that I have had with the equipment outweighs its usefulness, and there is a list of error codes in the handbook which describe some errors that may occur but no real aid in fixing them. Admittedly one of the reoccurring issues is to do with an external standard, but we've been told by engineers that the machine is working perfectly when it is not.

The materials we test cannot be directly injected for Karl Fischer measurement of water content, and this oven makes it possible. We looked at ovens from other companies, but their design made no sense, particularly if you want to measure very small quantities of water. This was really the only reasonable option. The oven is very straightforward to use, and comes with great technical support. It's expensive, but the only design we found worth purchasing.

For various reasons many substances are not suitable for a direct Karl Fischer titration:
– They release their water only slowly
– The water is released at high temperatures only
– The substances are poorly soluble in alcohols
– They undergo side reactions with KF reagents
– They contaminate the titration cell or the electrodes
By using the KF oven method the above-mentioned problems can be avoided. The substance under investigation is heated in a hermetically sealed vial in the oven. The water vapor released is transferred to the titration cell by a carrier gas. This means that no noxious solubilizers have to be used, side reactions as well as matrix effects are absent and the contamination of the titration cell is avoided.
Depending on the sample’s water content, the determination can be carried out either by coulometric or volumetric Karl Fischer titration.
