I bought this equipment 4 years ago to analyze indolamines, especially melatonin in micro dialysis fluid. For this they used to have a dedicated analytical micro dialysis cell 5041. After 3 years of not so intensive use the cell is not working anymore. My surprise came when I tried to buy a new one from Thermo Fisher Scientific (the present owner of ESA and DIONEX) and I received the notice that the cell was discontinued and there is no replacement for it! I repeat: no replacement for the analytical 5041 cell. This means that I have to throw away the Ultimate 3000 UHPLC and the Coulochem III! So I would advise the putative new owners of this sort of equipment to do not trust Thermo Fisher, as far as electrochemical detector is concerned.
