Great RNA quality for a low per-sample cost
RNA purification for gene expression analysis
We routinely extract RNA at a small scale from 96-well plates, and this kit is both easy to use and provides high purity RNA for our downstream analyses. The price per sample on initial purchase is already low, but since Zymo allows purchase of individual kit components, and we use so little of the liquid reagents, we can buy additional collection tubes and columns separately. This allows us to stretch the more abundant kit components and ensure nothing is wasted.

The best part which I like most of the product is easy to use and high efficiency of RNA product from a small amount of samples, and its compatibility with TRIZOL. Then, the customer service is good. I ever found one kit was not good and they sent a new one for the replacement. I hope Zymo will maintain the high quality of the products and the good customer service, and I would be glad to recommend it to my colleagues as well.

I used a kit from another known company with very low number of cells at first. I didn't get much and it was low quality. With this kit I got much more RNA with decent quality for very low input, and perfect quality for higher number of cells.

The Quick-RNA ™ Microprep kit is an innovative product designed for the easy, reliable, and rapid isolation of DNA-free RNA from a wide range of cell (up to 10 6 ) and tissue samples (up to 5 mg). The procedure combines a unique buffer system with Fast-Spin column technology to yield high quality total RNA (including small RNAs 17-200 nt) in about 10 minutes.
The procedure is simple: Add the provided RNA Lysis Buffer to a sample, then purify the RNA using the Zymo-Spin ™ Columns . The result is highly-concentrated, DNA-free RNA that is suitable for subsequent RNA-based methods including RT-PCR, hybridization, sequencing etc . In addition, the kit can be used for enrichment of small and large RNAs in two separate fractions.
