Detecting silver nanoparticles prepared using essential oils
At the beginning, the results were very good with high resolution. The there were too much noisy in the sample spectra. It is not easy to understand the software or make changes in the settings. I talked to the person on charge who installed the instrument, then someone else came and tried to fix but the problem was not solved. Another try was to solve the problem online using software to make my lab visible, but I refused.

Analytical Methods
This instrument has such an easy program to use, that training other scientists on the platform has been a breeze. I want to commend Thermo Fisher in their excellent customer service and care taken when installing and performing Operational Qualifications. Used to analyze the spectra of different non metallic materials
The piece of equipment is very easy to use. Easy for beginners to get trained up to analyze samples and run several iterations of tests. High quality, highly precise repeatable results.

Gas Analysis
This FTIR will do everything that you need and more. It is very thorough, but the software can be a bit cumbersome for advance quantitation. It is my understanding that software upgrades are coming soon.

General analysis of organic compounds as a first screening tool
Very easy-to-use benchtop instrument, portable, small footprint. Excellent for teaching purposes on all levels at university, great screening tool. Appropriate software to install several libraries. Fast, reliable IR spectra.
