Used TRI reagent for RNA extraction for the purpose of RNA sequencing. The yield of RNA is high and stable, and it preserved small RNAs as well. Cost wise is cheaper than Trizol.

TRI Reagent® combines phenol and guanidine thiocyanate in a mono-phase solution to facilitate the immediate and most effective inhibition of RNase activity.
TRI Reagent® is compatible with Direct-zol™ RNA purification products from Zymo Research and is supplied together with the Direct-zol™ RNA MiniPrep (R2051, R2053), Direct-zol™ RNA MicroPrep (R2061, R2063), Direct-zol™ RNA MiniPrep Plus (R2071, R2073), Direct-zol™-96 RNA (R2055, R2057) and Direct-zol™-96 MagBead RNA (R2101, R2103, R2105).
