Analysis of water samples in fertilizer urea manufacturing process
We are using a number of Metrohm instruments including Titrando & KF Titrators, pH/ISE meters, etc. Recently, we purchased another 905 Titrando to meet our ever-increasing analysis requirements. Within one week of taking the instrument in service, its i-connect port stopped working. Since the instrument is under warranty, we asked the local representative to send their service engineer to check & rectify the problem. He opened the instrument & found that i-connect port's soldering had dislodged; the measuring interface card was functional but i-connect electrodes cannot be used. The cost of replacing this card is >1000USD. Good workmanship & resultant reliability has always been a hallmark of Metorhm's instrument (the main reason for our Lab using Metrohm instruments almost exclusively). This incident has forced us to review our future purchase plans for Metrohm instruments.

Very disappointed in what Metrohm has become
Analyze finished product and raw materials
My experience with Metrohm was a great experience (started in 2019) up until a few months ago. I was in the middle of working with 2 experienced and knowledgeable individuals who were always willing to go the extra mile for reproducible results and customer satisfaction. Since they are no longer with the company my experience has been drastically going downhill. Our customers are now uncertain about the product we produce matching the label claim, and this has broken confidence on the results we receive when we test in our lab, we have been receiving thus far. I have many unresolved issues that I have not brought to their attention yet, because they have been unable to resolve the first issue and have given up on even contacting customer service because it takes days to receive a response, I still have not received a resolution from Metrohm and no one has even followed up until I received an email to write this review. We were in the process of purchasing an additional unit that cost over $50,000 and that has been postponed because of the company's newfound lack of customer service, customer commitment, and customer satisfaction. I cannot believe that throughout to global network at Metrohm we are the only company that is in need of a functional method for Lactic Acid.
